For this song I used a Keith McMillen Boppad, a small circular drum pad that has 4 quadrants, each one sending a different MIDI note. I connected the Boppad to the Roland MPX8 to trigger clap and crash samples, playing the Boppad with a pair of drumsticks. The OP-Z does the rest.
