Let’s pretend we’re OK Love can last another day Even if the sorrows and all the pain And the troubles are here again Come the morning, darling, we will be fine I know we will I tried to be there for you Dreaming alone dreams for two Even if I know it was all in vain I guess I’d probably do it all again I know one day, darling, we’ll be fine I think we will Hold me now Take me somewhere else I don’t want it to be over yet Let me go Cause our time has passed We can’t be together I used to think you were the one But our love was undone Even if there’s no one to blame And things will never be the same I still think they will be fine I know they will

How does it feel? To be on the other side? Is it all real? Take me for a ride Motherfucker set me free! How does it feel? Sacrificing your first born? You're living the dream In a world that's torn Motherfucker crush my soul! You think this world was meant for you You're far from the truth! You're far from the truth! Hey, sister 02:38
Hey, sister It’s been a while we talked I hope you are OK It’s such a lovely day I wonder how you are It’s hard to live so far Your boys, they grow so fast, They’re turning into better versions of ourselves It’s been 10 years since our father passed I’m sure he would be so proud of them And in these times I remember him And see that life is precious as it is Hey, sister How’s the new job? I heard you like it more It opened many doors I wanna fly to see you Mom and everyone too Just waiting for the world To calm down a little bit more It’s hard to believe that it’s been so long Since we last saw each other And life’s not easy but I can’t complain I still think that we're the lucky ones Hey, sister Now I have to go It’s been a busy weekend These chores they never end I have to finish dinner We’re having beans again I’d love to cook for you One of these days when you’re around I hope this letter will find you well And say the things that I could never tell Say hello to our mom for me Soon we’ll be together, you will see

Six winds 04:35
In the forest, where the river’s small, A lonely tribe, brave and proud, Celebrates their newest member Brought into the world naked and loud. Mom asks the leader, old and wise, The secrets for a life fulfilled, So the baby can grow happy Honest, loved, healthy, and strong willed. "Pray to the winds", is the answer, "For the six carry a blessing, A lesson brought in each of them A gift, a token, a message." "For the north wind brings the harsh war Keeping our people fierce and strong. And the south wind carries winter The cold that makes our lives so long." "From the east blows the ocean wind Keeping us quick, fleet, and nimble The western wind opens the sky Enriching our minds with symbols." "The storm wind blows from everywhere Unpredictable, erratic Teaching us to accept our fate Wise, calm, and also pragmatic." "And the most important of all: The wind that blows inside the soul As for where it blows, right or wrong, Holds secret to a life made whole." "Pray to the winds", is the answer, "For the six carry a blessing, A lesson brought in each of them A gift, a token, a message." "The most important of them all: The wind that blows inside the soul As for where it blows, right or wrong, Holds secret to a life made whole."

Deep in the wilderness a winter forest scene snow in the underbrush snow in the evergreens things have been frozen since the last of the birds flew away a land of frozen white that is until today Chorus 1 a comet comes back from the asteroid belt you wait long enough, things start to melt you might feel just the way that you felt but sooner or late things begin to melt starts microscopically happens bit by bit stand under ancient trees slowly the water drips where once the sun was cold sunlight now falls like yellow gold from a crucible of the old Chorus 2 the only thing we have to fear is fear itself so said Franklin Delano Roosevelt you wait long enough, that fear will melt sooner or later, things begin to melt

One day a woman Dressed in gold Laid my fortune bare to me She said: Here’s your past Here’s your present And here’s your future Do you want to know The things you’re Not supposed to know? She said: Some things are better left undone Some stones are better left unturned Some rivers should not be crossed But some bridges should be burned Don’t look away from the sun Don’t run away from what hurts you Hear the wind when it calls your name It brings you home And she told me more: Where you’re going No one has gone You’re going on your own Trace a path from here to there It will take you anywhere But you’re going alone Do you want to know The things that will Set you free? Some things are better left undone Some stones are better left unturned Some rivers should not be crossed But some bridges should be burned Don’t look away from the sun Don’t run away from what hurts you Hear the wind when it calls your name It brings you home It brings you home Do you want to know The things that you’re Not supposed to know? Do you want to know The things that you’re Not supposed to know?

One day the smoke detector beeped. <BEEP> It kept beeping. <BEEP> That day the smoke detector started beeping. <BEEP> And it didn’t stop. <BEEP> <BEEP> <BEEP> <BEEP> It beeped high up in the wall. 15 feet up, where the sides of the ceiling converged. Like an unsatisfied god at the top of an altar. <BEEP> I couldn’t reach it with a ladder. It was far too high. But it kept beeping. <BEEP> My dog would bark at every beep. “Feed the god”, I imagined her saying, “For it is hungry!” <BEEP> I found an old stick. I climbed on a chair. I was able to placate the god By pressing its button. <SILENCE> 8 hours passed. <BEEP> The god had woken up. Ever vigilant of my living room. Watching everything from above. It asked for another offering. <BEEP> I climbed on a chair. I grabbed the old stick. And made my offering By pressing its button. <SILENCE> 8 more hours passed. <BEEP> Weeks went by like this. It became our daily ritual. Tending to the old god of smoke detection. Every 8 hours. <BEEP> “Make an offering before bed To guarantee 8 hours of sleep.” <BEEP> “Make an offering in the morning, And one in the afternoon (Hopefully not in the middle of a meeting).” <BEEP> <BEEP> Weeks went by like this. And every Tuesday A truck would park 50’ away From the old god. <BEEP> On its trunk, a ladder. A perfect ladder. Not too big, like the ladder in the barn. But the perfect size to reach the gods. <BEEP> Weeks went by. Daily rituals of 1. Climb the chair <BEEP> 2. Grab the stick <BEEP> 3. Press the button Every Tuesday, the ladder would arrive. I would watch it. And it would leave. <BEEP> Was this a Stanford experiment? “For how long will this couple press a button Before socializing again after 2 years of sheltering? Will they just incorporate the daily routine of Pressing an inaccessible button 3x a day? Accept it as normal and carry on with their lives?” <BEEP> That’s what we did. For weeks. The ladder would come and go. <BEEP> And I would please the god. Eventually. Yes, eventually. The ladder came on a Tuesday. Yesterday. <BEEP> It was time to kill the gods. No more offerings. No more daily sacrifices. No more chair, no more stick. <BEEP> “Can I borrow your ladder? I have two, one too small, one too big.” <BEEP> “Of course!” I climbed Mount Olympus And confronted the god face to face (Not really, I still had to stretch my arm to reach it.) <BEEP> I opened its mouth. Removed the dead battery And placed a new one. One final offering (final?) And the god was placated. And slept. (Well, it was still detecting smoke. I hope.) No more offerings. No more daily sacrifices. No more chair, no more stick. [In Stanford A scientist in a white lab coat Scribbles their notebook: “Couple #27. 5 weeks and 3 days”] <BEEP>

I know the way I know we could not stay Just don't know where to begin Left it hanging in the wind So many times I was torn down Down to the ground After all this time I'm nowhere bound So many times We say our lines The jokes, the lies, the secrets Maybe it's time We draw the line Confess our weakness Time and again they told me so The and again I could not say no Don't know where to begin Always take it on the chin So many times We say our lines The jokes, the lies, the secrets Maybe it's time We draw the line Confess our secrets The trouble is how long it takes Give it up For goodness sakes Cuz that is not my goal That's not what's in my soul So many times...

Fireflies 03:43
Sometimes it’s late at night I’m lost in all my thoughts I take a look outside And see a million stars I feel alive And then I cross my window Straight into the night Stepping carefully On a street that has no name I feel alive And I’m surrounded by the fireflies Dancing stars down from the sky They light my way as I cross the night I’m not alone I feel the cobblestones Cold against my feet And take a walk While the world is still asleep I feel the love I make my way To the street where you live You’re in your dreams On a land of peace I feel the love And then I think of all the things that I I want to tell you but I’m too scared And if I only had the courage I would say to you: Hear the song The universe is playing just for us tonight Dance with me Darling, our love can set us free Hold me through the night We’re not alone Can you feel the love? It’s right here with us And as the morning sun Starts to show its light I head back home And I leave you in your dreams I feel the light And I’m surrounded by the fireflies Dancing stars down from the sky They light my way as I cross the night I’m not alone I hear the song The universe is playing just for us tonight Dance with me Darling, our love will set us free Hold me through the night We’re not alone Can you feel the love? It’s right here with us

Here is Spring: The ocean becomes rain Falling when we are distant Always. Are we but friends? You can forgive — can I? Where are we now If not together? There is something: Know I love you. For hope brings rain brings hope For you, love. I know something is there. Together — not if — Now we are where I can forgive. Can you? Friends, but we are always distant. Are we? When falling rain becomes ocean The Spring is here

Is there a word in your language for that feeling That has me so happy but reeling When my heart leaps past the ceiling What is it you call it Is there a phrase that conveys the emotion When my feelings are as big as the ocean And no movement is a wasted motion What is it that you call it If something happens but there’s no name to label Can we feel it as much as we are able If something happens but there’s no name to label Can we feel it as much as we are able Is there a word when there’s a smile and also a tear Does that word exist in this hemisphere If I use another language am I making it clear What is it that we call it If something happens but there’s no name to label Can we feel it as much as we are able If something happens but there’s no name to label Can we feel it as much as we are able Is there a word when there’s a smile and also a tear Does that word exist in this hemisphere If I use another language am I making it clear What is it that we call it

Slave to the Machine Picking our bones clean We barely survive The one percent thrive Slave to the Machine Picking our bones clean We barely survive The one percent thrive What happens when we stop? What happens when we stop? What happens when we stop? When we just have had enough What happens when we stop? Slave to the Machine Picking our bones clean The Killswitch is dead Keep working they said Slave to the Machine Picking our bones clean The Killswitch is dead Keep working they said What happens when we stop? What happens when we stop? What happens when we stop? What happens when we stop? When we just have had enough What happens when we stop? Slave to the Machine Picking our bones clean What’s in it for us Only their lip service Slave to the Machine Picking our bones clean Tell me what’s in it for us Only their lip service What happens when we stop? What happens when we stop? When we just have had enough What happens when we stop? Slave to the Machine Picking our bones clean Yet we all comply Afraid not to satisfy What happens when we stop? Let’s stop

Oh these days I’ve been trying all my best Catching up with the skeletons Putting old ghosts down to rest They said I’ve killed so many loves Some with a kiss, but most with no word Just the old fears catching up Oooh forgive me, Lord I’m not a good person I hurt those I love It’s not that I’m bad I’m just broken inside What can I say after all is done? Should I even try? Every mistake that’s in my book Makes me wonder why I’m not a bad person I still love even though I’m hurt It’s not that I’m not good I’m just broken inside

This is the list of the things that I want from the FAWM website. It's just a list of suggestions. Doesn't mean you need to do it. When I publish a song, I wanted to have kind of a button that I can say, hey this, this needs lyrics and maybe this needs music and I say that I'm really open to a collab. So other people can just go and search and then find the songs that they want to collab with. So if I want to add lyrics to a song, I can just search for that and I know that the people that wrote those songs, they already want me to collab, so I can just grab it and, like, do something and maybe they have to approve because, before I publish, that would be cool, too. Another thing that I want from the FAWM website is many to many relationships, between users and songs. I really want to make a 4-song collab and I want to tag all the collabs and then — all the collaborators — and then just have the comments go to just one central place. So I don't have to follow the link and go to the collab. That was posted actually by the other two people. And then look at the comments there. Those are the things I want from the FAWM website. And like, an API would be really cool. So, like, maybe if I could analyze it later, I would love to present this for my team. I work on a data visualization company, and I'd love to build a dashboard and show, how many songs are made? How many have lyrics, where are they from in the world? By the way, the geolocation API we had in the beginning was really cool. We should have a map. This is the list of the things that I want from the FAWM website but they're just suggestions. Don't be angry at me because I'm asking for too much. I'm really happy for what you do for us already and it's still the best experience in my life. It's my favorite month of the year, and I think that's kind of all I want to do. Is there anything else? Hmmm, let me think. Yeah, if you could have a calendar like an ical that, I can import into my calendar and then it has all the skirmishes, the weekly prompts, that will be cool to. And then maybe a place that we can see challenges that have a time component. Nah, that doesn't make sense, scratch that, scrap that, how do I say that? These are the things that I want from the FAWM website. These are the things that I want from the FAWM website.
